Stanley Spencer: Of Angels and Dirt is the first major survey for 15 years of Spencer’s work and is the highlight of the Hepworth’s summer programme. As well as the Spencer exhibition our guided tour will include Kettle’s Yard at the Hepworth Wakefield, a unique opportunity to see key works from this exceptional collection while the Cambridge gallery is closed for renovation. We shall also see A Private Collection Revealed – 100 works by modern British and contemporary artists which form part of the Tim Sayer Bequest.
£10, includes coffee on arrival and guided tour but not transport.
The Hepworth is 8 minutes’ walk from Wakefield Kirkgate station and 20 minutes’ walk from Westgate station. The gallery is on the Free City Bus route which runs every 10 minutes (until 3pm) and stops at both train stations and bus station. There is a pay & display car park at gallery.
