Friday 27th February 2015
Our afternoon begins at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery, University of Leeds, with a curator-led tour of the exhibition Nostalgia and Progress: Illustration after the Second World War, which shows work by Edward Bawden, Edward Ardizzone, Charles Keeping and others, alongside that of contemporary illustrators.
After a brief detour to see Eric Gill's controversial war memorial, we take the short walk to the Marks & Spencer Company Archive where we have a talk from the M&S Archivist, visit the state-of-the-art archive storage area (not usually open to visitors) and visit the Marks in Time exhibition.
Price include tea and biscuits at the M& S Archive
