As well as the works in the permanent collection, this will be an opportunity to view two significant temporary exhibitions.
To hope, to tremble, to live: modern and contemporary works from the David Roberts Collection.One of the UK’s most important private collections is exhibited in a public art gallery for the very first time.
Barbara Hepworth: The Hospital Drawings.This remarkable series of drawings and paintings was made by the artist during the late 1940s, illustrating surgeons at work in operating theatres within post-war Britain.
On arrival we will be welcomed by one of the curators who will give us an introduction to the displays.
Coach transport will be provided and pick-up points are: Kirkstall Abbey at 10.15 or Leeds Train Station at 10.30am.
Lunch is not included but there will be time to visit the Hepworth cafe for sandwiches or light lunches.
We aim to be back in Leeds by 3pm.
