Saturday 23rd April 2022
We meet at the Cooper Gallery to visit the permanent collections, which includes works donated by Yorkshire donors such as Sir Michael Sadler who also contributed to the Leeds art scene in the early 20th century. The temporary exhibition presents photographs of the Caravan Gallery which record the quirkiness of everyday life across the country.
We move on to the nearby Civic, to view the exhibition We are Commoners, a national touring exhibition curated by Craftspace. We will hear about the many dimensions of the project from curator Emma Daker and director Deirdre Figueiredo MBE (www.craftspace.co.uk/wearecommoners)
Craftspace is a national contemporary craft agency, known for expanding our ideas of what craft might be. Clients include the National Trust and the British Council.
Meet at Cooper ArRt Gallery at 10am. We will walk to the Civic (about 5-10 minutes).
£20, includes refreshments
