AGM 11am; Lunch 1pm (optional)
Lecture 2pm: Dr Mark Westgarth 'Curating SOLD! The making of an exhibition'
The exhibition, SOLD! at The Bowes Museum took almost 3 years of planning and involved over 10 years of research. With loans of many world-class museum objects (several of which came from Temple Newsam), this talk, given by the guest-curator, retells the story of the exhibition. It is a tale of objects won, and lost, and of the complex set of negotiations and discussions that eventually culminated in this ground-breaking exhibition.'
Admission to the AGM is free (members only); optional lunch and lecture £30; lecture only £5 (non-members £7.50).
