Plumpton Rocks, between Harrogate and Wetherby, is 30 acres of parkland with lakeside walks, dramatic rock formations and woodland trails, originally created as a pleasure garden for Daniel Lascelles in the 1750s.

The monumental task of restoring the landscape was completed in 2016 - revealing for the first time in more than 150 years the full extent of the lake as painted by Turner in 1797.

Our guided walk will be in the company of Robert Hunter, the present owner, who will tell us more about the history of the estate and the development of the garden.

Unfortunately the garden is not suitable for disabled access.
