Chilean Mural, Leeds University Union
In 1976 a group of political exiles escaping Pinochet's regime painted a mural on a student common room wall in the Leeds University Union building.
Later hidden behind a temporary ceiling and kitchen wall it was finally rediscovered in 2017.
In this presentation Dr Robert Knifton will tell the story of the Chilean mural and of how it was restored and reinterpreted in 2018 thanks to HLF funding. There will also be an opportunity to visit the mural itself.
£10, includes a glass of wine or non-alcoholic drink.
