Join York Art Gallery curators to look at two major exhibitions focusing on the work of Paul Nash and Sara Radstone. In Paul Nash and the Uncanny Landscape, Paul Stezaker, one of the leading artists in contemporary photographic collage and appropriation, examines how Nash’s ground-breaking inter-war landscapes transformed the genre of British landscape painting and influenced artists throughout the 20th century and still today. This exhibition includes recent work by Stezaker demonstrating Nash’s influence.
The Centre of Ceramic Art presents Sara Radstone, More than Words. This retrospective exhibition looks at the artist’s concern with memory, history, landscape, loss and absence over her nearly 40 year career.
